Ontario Network SADV

The Ontario Network had been working with an outdated platform that was nearly a decade old, and no longer meeting its needs. Users were unable to easily find SADV locations, and the site was not usable on mobile devices.

In operation for nearly 25 years, the Ontario Network of Sexual Assault/Domestic Violence (SADV) Treatment Centres provides leadership and support to 35 hospital-based sexual assault and domestic violence treatment centres across Ontario.

The Enginess team carried out a full reimagining of the site’s user experience (UX) and information architecture (IA), approaching the redesign from a user- and content-centric approach.

The project was planned with a priority on understanding the needs of its users – staff members and the public – and their content requirements, before developing the solution. To that end, our team also ensured the site was designed to meet accessibility WCAG 2.0 Level AA.

The site's visual design was provided by Public Good, and the site was implemented by Enginess in partnership with MODX, an open-source PHP CMS, per the Ontario Network’s requirements.
